Why did Lizi write "I Don't Like Cheese"?
"I wrote I Don't Like Cheese a few years ago when my twins, Jacob and Layla, were very young. We had recently found out that Jacob has autism, and I wanted to write a poem for them which shows them that being different can be great. A lot of children think they need to work hard to fit in, but my years working in a school as a teacher taught me that it's more important for young people to be happy with who they are and to love the things that make them unique. I hope that Matty's story will remind Jacob and Layla, and any other children who read it, that they don't have to change for anyone, and that they're perfect exactly how they are!"
